Heidi presented a check to the Interact club.  It was $250 for their assistance at Brunch which was a portion of the 50/50 raffle.
The Interact Officers talked about what Interact means to them.  They appreciated the opportunity for service, both local and international.  Members can choose what opportunities they wish to support.  They get to meet new people.  It is a very organized club.

Interact meets every other Monday morning at 7:30.  Usually 30 to 40 students attend.
The things they work on include:
  • various projects during the meeting.
  • Roadside Cleanup once a month when the weather allows.
  • Take a Sat AM shift at Neighbors Helping Neighbors when possible.
  • organizing "Penny Wars" at the school for 1 month in April.  raising money for "1 Gift, 1 Child" in Haiti.
  • Assisted a traveling nurse in collecting needed donations for Cambodia.
  • made 24 blankets for the Children's Hospital.
  • packed shoebox gifts for kids.
  • made decorations for MH younger schools.
  • went to Nursing Homes and enjoyed Halloween with costumes and did caroling in December.
  • planned a spring cleaning drive for NHN along with the Middle school students.

We are all very impressed with their efforts.
