Student Rotarians: Kaitlyn Farr who participates in choir, extra curricular choirs, Social Justice club, homecoming court, e-sports team social media manager, worked at Cave of the Mounds. She plans on attending UW Eau Claire to study Geology.

 

Phoenix, the other student rotarian is getting ready for the High School Band Show with the theme, “Kung Fu Band-a”. For those not familiar with the Band Show, it is an epic night where students take on most of the production featuring large and smaller ensemble performances. Tickets usually sell out quickly for this can’t-miss event.

 

She is back from being away for a couple weeks. During spring break she went to DC, visited museums, her favorite being the Holocaust Museum. She thought she, “was going to die” on the roller coaster, the next day she was covered in bruises.
Prom is coming up, she loves her dress and is excited to be going in real life after seeing proms in so many movies.

Tricon is coming soon, and she will be raising funds for Polio Plus: Karla has a QR symbol that will be shared with club members who want to sponsor and support her event at Tricon next week. She will be starting her walk at 6:30 a.m. To make a donation, use the QR symbol below.

 

Steve is happy for the student rotarians and Maddi.

This Saturday at 11 o’clock Stewart Park the Ecology Club and Interact club will be doing clean up.

 

Susan Smith is happy to be back after a long odyssey, happy her husband is recovering back at home, she got to see the eclipse in the path of totality. She is grateful for the help with her husband from the club while she was out of town.

 

Doug Kahl is our newest member of the club. He looks forward to helping us and to have a
positive impact with people in our local community.

Paul and Curt Garrity from Optimist club met to discuss how the two clubs can help each other during events.

Saturday, June 1st is the optimist annual golf outing at Norsk Golf Club. Entry is $55.  If any club members are interested in putting a team together, or helping out, information be found in the club agenda Paul sent via email regarding today’s meeting.

 

Budget questions and/or comments can be handled using the feedback document sent last week or email Paul directly. Please submit your comments within the next week to allow enough time for the board to discuss.

Accounts will be reviewed in June prior to the fiscal year by Steve Salerno and Paul to finalize numbers.

We were treated to hear Maddi play their clarinet and learn more about the adventures of being an accomplished high school musician, stepping out into playing saxophone in the jazz ensemble, and taking on challenges like auditioning for the state concert band.

 

Finally, club members went around the room and introduced themselves.
