We discussed some of the inconveniences and conveniences of the pandemic. Dixie gets "no-contact" groceries and dry goods from the Walmart in Dodgeville. Peggy gets "no-contact supplies" from Total Wine in Madison.
Sadly, Dixie and Jim had to put down their much loved German Shepard "Sam".
Dixie was pleased to announce that she has scheduled some great zoom speakers for our 3rd Wednesday meetings. February brings us Dr. Linea Smith of the Amazon Medical Project. The schedule can always be found on the 1st page of our website and on the right in the bulletin.
Brent showed us pictures of his bar that he and Dani built in their new garage. His Happy Hour special is the Sedona Sunset however, Dani has been mixing up Moscow Mules these days.

Judy started a conversation about movies and highly recommended The African Queen, which she had never seen. Those of us who know the movie were enthusiastic about the choice. Peggy liked the 23 year old movie "Pleasantville" and found it poignant for today. Vaughn recommended the Mandalorian.
Paul took his girls fishing and had a great time with a campfire, food and fun. His girls are 5 and 6. They go to a place near Spring Green where the ice is 6+ inches deep.
Steve Helwig gave us a Frolic report. It will be held the 2nd weekend in June, 10th -13th. They are tentative on bands. They are thinking that they may have one day when they offer boxed foods and want to know if Rotary will be interested in helping out. All members who were in the zoom meeting were very supportive. Frolic is hoping to do a run, a parade, raffle and fireworks. The planning continues.
The club talked about doing a socially distanced golf outing. Brent will start on a fact finding mission.
Jim reported on the Covid Vaccine. He is frustrated at the slow timeline. He will keep Rotarians in the loop to see if we can help as administrative volunteers. He's hoping that things can be done to speed things up.
The International Committee is having a meeting Thursday night to prepare for their presentation next week.
Brent reminded us all of our All-Member Strategic Meeting at 5:30 January 21st.
A Grant Management Seminar will be held this Saturday, January 16. Any club member may attend.
