Heidi presented a gift box to Karen in appreciation of all she does for us.  Rotarians from the club filled it up with Mount Horeb related items.

Karen is a member of the Chippewa Valley After Hours club.  Click here for her Rotary Bio.
Karen spoke of many things adding "Fellowship, Integrity & Diversity" to the rotary Values.

She noted that many clubs have gone through upheaval during these times.  She recommended that we commit to building membership and suggested that we
  • always greet any guests
  • write down names of people who share Rotary values
  • invite 3 people to join us to hear a speaker
  • consider starting a new club
  • if  we "Grow more, we can do more
Karen talked about the Rotary International Foundation.  Money is tight.  The Global Grants have had to change from a 100% match to 80%.  In order to continue to do good work we must all help.
Please donate.  Start building toward your own Paul Harris Recognition Award.
She gave a brief overview of Polio Plus progress reporting 2 wild cases in 2020.

Karen also suggested that we all:
  • collaborate with other clubs and the district
  • partake in Rotary workshops and seminars
  • follow Rotary on social media
  • write grants (District has the money!!)

Lastly, she invited us to attend Tricon District Conference this spring.

Mount Horeb! Great name, isn’t it? Their greatness doesn’t end at their name. They earn that reputation with heart and service. Here they are in action decorating their school for Valentine's Day and partnering for successful service with a local non-profit, Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
