New Generations Report
  • Club has a $330 credit for sending a student to World Affairs Seminar.  Judy asked if we wanted to have a student this year however, it was not budgeted.  We would need to decide by March 14 in order to utilize Early Payment. Club suggested that we pass this year but check to see if the credit will carry over.
Membership, Diversity, PR and Social Report
  • Susan Smith is working on PR: thanks to all who bought ads for the brunch.  Peggy will try to get ads onto a slide show for our website.  (accomplished..click here or see menu bar on our website.)
  • Next 5th Wednesday will be on Wednesday evening, March 31.  Planning a Fireside Chat.  
  • There is another 5th Wednesday on June 29th.
  • Rotary Work Day is the last day in April.  Something will be planned.  Any ideas?
  • Committee would like to build a "Friends of Rotary" email list.  Those participants would receive the Norsk News as well as promotions for Rotary Events.  Please gather e-mails but we must have permission from the recipient to send them.  Get to Peggy.
  • Teacher's Luncheon will  be the week of August 22nd.
  • Committee would like to do an event at Home of our Own in New Glarus.  Frank would like to be the host. Stay tuned.
Fund Raising Committee
  • has decided to donate half of the funds raised at the 50/50 raffle to show our appreciation to the Interact Club.  Board Approved.
  • Golf Outing...not this year.  Committee worried about volunteer burnout.
  • The committee decided to focus on the 10K raffle as the next big fundraiser.  Wednesday, August 16th.
  • Of course, we will do the Frolic on the 2nd Weekend in June.
International/Grants Committee
  • preparing Community Grants requests. We have budgeted $2000 dollars.  PR is preparing press release to go out this week. Deadline for receiving requests is April 10.

In Ukraine, Rotary is represented by 52 clubs in different cities of Ukraine and has almost 1000 members. There are 9 clubs in Kyiv. The Rotary Club Kyiv International opened on December 27, 2019, and has 30 members.
